Microsoft and Bungie are giving Halo 3 fans a good use for their rebate with the Legendary Map Pack as they promised.The Legendary Map Pack adds three new maps to the game’s lauded multiplayer component and you can buy them for $10.
The pack is good for those Halo fans looking for a new environment. Ghost Town offers an asymmetrical arena emphasizing close-quarter combat as well as long-range firefights. Avalanche is a large-scale, vehicle-oriented map that reimagines Sidewinder from Halo: Combat Evolved. Blackout is less a reinterpretation as it is a straight-up remake of Halo 2’s Lockout.

Halo 3Halo 3 is the biggest entertainment launch in American history. The first-day sales of Halo 3 reported to totaled $170 million in the US only. That is $45 million more than Halo 2’s 2004 debut! These statistics depends on Microsoft’s internal estimates and we dont have any exact source for the data. A Microsoft rep said that they only know the number is $170 million. This number will give Halo 3 the honor of having generated more money in 24 hours than any other American entertainment property ever, after NPD Group releases its sales figures.

"Not only is Halo 3 setting sales records, it’s also redefining entertainment. Within the first 20 hours alone, we’ve seen more than a million Xbox Live members come online to play Halo 3–that makes September 25 the most active Xbox Live gaming day in history.", said Microsoft Game Studios corporate vice president Shane Kim.

The Chronicles of SpellbornThe Spellborn team has released a progress update on where The Chronicles of Spellborn stands in the development cycle. They have recently started the final tests for The Chronicles of Spellborn. A release is expected in the second quarter of 2008, but there is no mention of specific dates yet.
